Permanent makeup
I am lazy to use makeup. Nevertheless, I do want to look good and fresh. I usually use mascara at least in winter, and I also usually shape and highlight my brows a little with a brow pencil.First a tip: if the hair of brows and lashes are turning pale, you can stop that with a food supplement that impacts on the melanin production (ie. the color pigment). It also prevents greying hair!
Last summer I decided to try permanent makeup. I haven't regretted that. I found a very skilled beautician, who has long experience of doing permanent makeup. She also use the 3D-method (microblading) for treating brows. The 3D-method is a lighter version of permanent makeup, and it gives very natural looking results.
Permanent makeup before and after |
We started with my brows. The first treatment started with careful planning. For at least one hour we discussed, draw, looked in the mirror, erased, shaped and draw again. Until finally I was pleased with how they looked. Only then she started doing the pigmentation.
By experience I realize more and more, that in every operation or treatment, the most important thing is the own point of view, and the feeling that the result is right, that it is "me". For example, the kind of brows made "by the book", by comparing the line of the brows to the nose and to the eyes, are not suitable to me at all. A beautician once made my brow makeup like that, and I looked really terrible!
Both traditional pigmentation and the 3D-method usually require 2-3 treatments, with few weeks between the treatments. My brows were to be done with the 3D-technique, and we also started with that. However, we made the second and third treatment with traditional pigmentation, since the 3D-color didn't seem to last on my skin as it should. At least this clinic uses a pricing where you pay for the first treatment, and then the complementary treatments are included in that same price.
After making the brows, we made the eyeliner. I only wanted the upper eyeliner, since I have never made contours on the lower lid myself either. The process with the eyeliner was the same as with the brows: planning first, and only then it was made with the tattoo color. Obviously eyeliner is always done with traditional method, not with 3D.
Did it hurt? Well yes, it did a little, but it was worth it. We did use a cream that made the area numb, and it helped a bit. After the treatment there was a little swelling, but it disappeared in one or two days.
I'm happy that I had the courage to try also permanent makeup. In autumn I didn't use any makeup. Now in winter I use mascara, but if I'm in a hurry in the morning (or just lazy), I can very well go to work without makeup. And one big advantage of course is, that I don't have to be afraid that this makeup will be disturbed by rain or anything else 😊.
What comes to nourishment, you should prepare for this procedure in the same way as for a surgical operation.
Anti-inflammatory medicines should not be used within two weeks before the operation, since they might cause haemorrhage and bruising. Also fish oil capsules, omega 3-6 and garlic may cause propensity for haemorrhage, and it's recommended to pause them for several weeks before the operation.
